"Coffee leads men to trifle away their time, scald their chops, and spend their money, all for a little base, black, thick, nasty, bitter, stinking nauseous puddle water."

When can we expect your tableau of Element on (Mrs) Crabapple Road?

  2. thos. more Says:

i went to a jittery joe’s in crabapple a few times, or twice, last summer when i traveled down there to set up my new ‘business’; i hope it didn’t also close or convert to element.

  3. saul cups Says:

if you can ‘write’ a tableau for a now closed coffeehouse, maybe i will write one for a coffeehouse that has yet to open.

to follow the protocols thos. should at least flag the shop as ‘decommissioned’ in the title.

perhaps saul’s post-dated coffeeshop tableau should appear on the wrk.grp’s webpage along with all of the other things that have yet to happen!

‘in the year 2015, a naked corpse is found between the commode and wall in the toilet of the badlands cafe and juicebar in vermillion, south dakota. the man’s hands were bound behind his back with a usb cable, and 1.5 liters of water were found in his lungs. bruises across his thighs and shoulders appeared to be self-inflicted, and were consistent with the markings on a brass shelving rod found in a dumpster behind the shop. soymilk and wifi available.’

The Jittery Joe’s on Crabapple Rd is no more. Same owners, I think. It’s called Element and they serve coffee that’s way better than anything they had before. The staff is in to it too. Coffee geeks behind the counter, manual pourover, french press, and chemex. IMHO far better than what was there before.

Thanks for the hot tip. You are encouraged to enlighten us further with a full-figured tableaux regarding Element!
